Carnival Magic is welcoming the Chinese New Year with an exciting atmosphere, featuring vibrant auspicious decorations to enhance luck and prosperity. Guests can enjoy the special Festival of Colors street parade, a Chinese New Year-themed performance designed to celebrate the festive season. More than 100 performers will join together to bring joy and blessings to visitors along the Carnival Funfair shopping street.
In addition, the River Carnival Parade at the River Palace Parade Stadium has introduced exclusive scenes specially created for this festive period.
We invite friends, families, and loved ones to join us in celebrating Chinese New Year at Carnival Magic from now until February 12, 2025.

The highly popular event was organized by the Patong Municipality to celebrate the beginning of the high tourists' season and a major draw for tourists and locals alike.

Traveling to Carnival Magic is a breeze. The park is located in Kamala, Phuket, Thailand, and can be accessed easily by car, public transport & our transfer service from various major attraction spots in Phuket. From Phuket Town, 30 min; Airport 30 min; Patong Beach 10 min; Surin Beach 5 min; Kata Beach 35 min.

To allow time to visit our attractions and participate in many fun activities, the recommended arrival time is at least 90 min before parade showtime. Our park opens every Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 5:30 pm – 11:30 pm.

Carnival Magic Project Launch Press Conference

Carnival Magic recently held a press conference announcing the opening of Carnival Magic ~ the Magical Kingdom of Lights, a new nighttime theme park featuring record breaking attractions not found anywhere else. Covering over 40 acres, the new theme park is touted as the new Dream Destination in Asia and costs over USD$190 million to build. The opening date is 20 September 22.

Carnival Magic – the Magical Kingdom of Lights will be ready to open its door to all visitors from 20 September 2022 onwards. Located in Kamala Beach, Phuket, this 40-acre nighttime Thai carnival theme park features many record-breaking attractions not found anywhere else in the world. The theme park is divided into 4 main zones.
Zone 1: Carnival Fun Fair
In this zone, visitors can make their way through a shopping street and enjoy shopping for high-quality products, all-night-long carnival performances and fun activities, in a festive, celebratory atmosphere created by a huge array of bright and colorful shops.
Zone 2: Bird of Paradise Buffet Restaurant
With a seating capacity of 3,000 guests, the grand dining hall of this restaurant was made to look like a beautiful paradise guarded by 2 giant peacocks fanning their tails. On the menu are more than 100 delicacies from the East and the West, including Indian, vegetarian and Halal dishes.
Zone 3 – River Palace
Inspired by ancient Kamala Kingdom, the River Palace is an enormous 16,000-square-meter (10 rai) indoor parade show theater – one of the largest in Thailand and among the largest in the world. The theater can accommodate over 2,200 spectators and will showcase the world’s biggest indoor parade show called the River Carnival. River Carnival is a 50-minute extravaganza that blends fantasies, festivals, and traditional parades of Thailand augmented with modern technology and special effects. Among the highlights are more than 88 gigantic floats with millions of lights, automation, and many cutting-edge special effects. The highlight is the world's longest parade float that is more than 70 meters long or about the size of a jumbo jet, the Airbus A380.
Zone 4 – Kingdom of Lights

Built as an illumination park, this zone features more than 40 million lights to create a dazzling masterpiece that can spark visitors’ imagination. There will be 9 areas to explore in the Kingdom of Lights, where visitors can walk around enjoying stunning illuminated decorations and sculptures.
